Miliadi’s remains being brought to Sarawak General Hospital.

KUCHING: A filial son who helped his parents run errand passed away after he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and rammed into a tree by the roadside while on his way home at 11.30pm on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Miliadi Ahmad, 39, of Kampung Jayaria, Kota Samarahan.

The impact of the crash caused Miliadi to be flung from his motorcycle before he landed on the road. He died on the spot.

After the crash, passers-by called the police and Miliadi’s remains were taken to Sarawak General Hospital for a post-mortem.

The accident spot was dark with no street lighting.

The villagers hoped that the authority concerned will install more street lightings in the area soon.

Sarawak Head of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, Supt  Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed the case.
