SIBU: A motorcyclist breathed his last after 10 days of fighting for his life following an accident at Jalan Teng Ching Hua-Persiaran Brooke traffic light intersection.

Sarawak Traffic Police chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, who confirmed the case, said the biker collided with a car around 6.40pm on Apr 22.

Investigations found that a 33-year-old woman was driving to town from Teku when the motorcycle suddenly crashed into the front of her car.

“As a result of the crash, the victim identified as Ckarvan Lanau, 32, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Sibu Hospital,” he said.

He, however, died of his injuries at 6pm while receiving treatment on Sunday (May 2).

The woman driver, on the other hand, was not injured.
