KUCHING: A 22-year-old man biker was died in a fatal collision with a lorry near Sukma housing estate last Thursday (March 11).
Sarawak Traffic Police chief, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, said the accident happened at 1.40pm and the motorcyclist was identified as Nelson Ngerong Philomena.
“Our investigation found that when the lorry came out of a junction to turn left the biker who came from the direction of Sarawak Orphanage Welfare Organisation (Peryatim) rammed into it.
“The biker was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH),” he said.
The 40-year-old lorry driver, who was not injured, was detained for further questioning.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
