Bintulu turns orange, Bau yellow

KUCHING: Bintulu District changed status from yellow to orange today after 29 local infection cases were recorded there in the last 14 days.

Meanwhile, Bau District also changed status from green to yellow after one local infection case was recorded.

This was revealed by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily Covid-19 update.

“The districts of Kuching, Sibu, Miri, Beluru and Kanowit remain in red with a total of 1,512 cases of local infection reported in the last 14 days.

“Sebauh and Dalat districts also remain orange with 62 cases of local infections reported in the last 14 days,” it added.

Meanwhile the districts of Daro, Pakan, Serian, Subis, Belaga, Betong, Meradong, Julau, Kapit, Simunjan, Asajaya, Lubok Antu, Sarikei, Selangau, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Bukit Mabong, and Limbang retained their yellow status with a total of 82 local infections reported in the last 14 days.

“There are 13 green districts in the state,” said the committee.
