BINTULU: An early morning blaze destroyed a double storey dormitory that housed 12 male pupils of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sebauh, Bintulu on Wednesday (Aug 5).
Luckily an adjacent dormitory which accommodated 12 female pupils was saved in the incident.
Eight firemen from Bintulu fire station arrived at the scene which located at about 41km from the fire station at 7.30pm after responding to an emergency alert at 7.07pm.
Firemen arrived at the scene to find the inferno at its height consuming the structures of the double-storey building of the male dormitory. They managed to put the fire under control, including saving the girl’s dorm.
No injuries or casualties were reported in the mishap.
