Two wooden houses are destroyed in the blaze.

MIRI: Two wooden houses in Tudan 6 here were destroyed in a blaze this afternoon. It left 22 people comprising two families homeless.

Fortunately, there was no report of injuries or casualties.

Miri Fire and Rescue Department received a distressed called on the incident at 1.48pm.

Zone 6 fire acting fire chief Ahmad Nizam Sapaiee said 18 firemen from Miri Central and Lipeng fire station were rushed to the scene upon responding to the alert.

They managed to put out the fire totally at 4.05pm.

Presently the causes and losses incurred in the fire are still under investigation by the authorities.
