BINTULU: A total of 27 people from two families were left homeless after fire destroyed two wooden houses in Kampung Baru here on Sunday (Feb 27).
A team of 17 firemen in two fire engines were deployed to the scene after they were alerted at 1.12pm and managed to bring it under control at about 4.47pm.
According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue department’s spokesperson, the department is still investigating the cause of the fire as well as the extent of losses.
