KUCHING: If you wish to do something significant for a good cause, head to Vivacity Megamall here this coming Saturday (Dec 2) where the Kuching Love Book Association is organising a blood donation campaign from 10 am onwards.
The association is playing its yearly role in response to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Blood Bank’s call to replenish the blood centre.
“We hope that people from all walks of life will actively attend and support this meaningful blood donation event and help people in urgent need of blood.
“Anyone who is 18 years and above, weighs 45kg and above are eligible to donate, while 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian,” the association said in a statement.
Those interested to donate must ensure they have at least five hours of sleep, eaten breakfast, and refrained from alcoholic beverages for eight hours the night before.
“The first 80 donors who donate will receive a gratitude goodies bag. The gift pack contains an eco-bag, t-shirt, stress ball, five kilograms of white rice, Milo, milk, milk powder and biscuits,” the association added.
