KUCHING: Pertubuhan Pembangunan Insan Sarawak (PPIS) is organising a blood donation campaign in response to Sarawak General Hospital’s (SGH) call for increased blood supply to its Blood Bank.

The campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and the role it plays in saving lives.

“The blood donation campaign is scheduled to take place at the SGH Blood Bank on Nov 4 (this Saturday), from 8am to 2pm. We are targeting 100 donors for this one-day event,” said PPIS president Manjeet Kaur Sidhu on Wednesday (Nov 1).

She said the event is a collaborative effort involving PPIS, Lions Club, Malaysia Red Crescent Society Stampin Branch, and SGH Blood Bank.

“The campaign is a reflection of unity among different religious and ethnic groups in Sarawak, demonstrating their willingness to help fellow members of society.

“We want to thank the SGH Blood Bank for its assistance and the response from Sarawakian donors has been positive.”
