Blood donation programme to be held tomorrow

MIRI: The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Miri District in collaboration with Miri Indian Association, Moving Communities, Persatuan Wanita Petroleum Miri, Perstuan Berawan Sarawak, Perstuan Guang Ning, Persatuan Kayan, Dayak Association Miri, Miri Baha’i Community, Persatuan Bisaya Sarawak, SUPP Miri (Piasau) Women Section and SUPP Pujut Women Section will be organising the 13th edition of Miri City Day Blood Donation.

The event will be held on Sunday (May 19) at level three of Boulevard Shopping Complex from 9.30am to 1pm.

The event is organised, in addition to commemorating Miri City Day, to ensure sufficient blood supply during the Ramadan fasting period and also the upcoming Gawai festive season.

Members of the public are encouraged to come forward for this mass blood donation programme.

The targeted amount is 100 successful donors. Yesterday, the organising team led paid a courtesy visit to Miri City mayor Adam Yii.  Yii would be the guest of honour for the event.
