Crowds thronged the Miri Times Square on Saturday night for the event.

MIRI: The New Year is ‘blooming’ at Miri Times square.

Spectacularly decorated with Chinese peony flowers and hundreds of glowing red lanterns, spring has indeed arrived at this commercial complex which is hosting the Gong Xi Bazaar.

The decorations and festive goodies found in the 60 stalls that have been set up The Plaza are awesome.

And they will be available to patrons from now to Jan 23.

Visitors can feast on mouth-watering New Year delicacies and shop for many traditional gifts.

Miri Times Square has also put together several performances and activities for everyone to enjoy.

“We are happy to be able to usher in Chinese New Year amidst a nice ambience.

“Putting together these activities is part of our effort to enhance togetherness for all Mirians.

“We look forward to a good and smooth year ahead for Miri,’ said Chee Siew Pin, chief operating officer of Pantai Bayu Indah, a member of Parkcity Group.
