KUCHING: The body of a man was found floating in the Sarawak River near Tanjung Bako here on Thursday (Feb 18).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre said a call regarding the incident was received at around 11.50am before a team from the Kota Samarahan station was deployed to the location.
“The operations centre received a call from the police requesting to fish out the body from the location.”
The body was later successfully retrieved and taken to the Tanjung Bako Fisheries Development Authority wharf.
Bomba also noted that the body was found fully clothed.
However, it said the identity of the man could not be ascertained and it was then handed over to the police for further action.
