KUCHING: The body of an autistic boy reported missing in Kampung Rantau Panjang, Batu Kawa on Nov 28, was found drowned in Sarawak River yesterday (Nov 30).

Eight-year-old Muhd Ramadhan Muhd Ridhwan was found entangled in a fishing net around 7.20am by local fishermen.

A spokesman for the Sarawak Fire Department operations centre said the body was found about 5km from the search control post at the village (Kpg Rantau Panjang).

Rescuers who were alerted of the discovery, was dispatched to retrieve the boy’s body.

They then brought the victim’s body to the control post for the parents’ confirmation.

Muhd Ramadhan’s body was later handed over to the police to be taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further action.
