Body of one drowning victims found

KUCHING: The body of one of the drowning victims was found at Sungai Rayu, Matang here at 5.48 pm yesterday.

According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue Ooeration centre, the body of Lee Jun Suhia, 34, was found by the Search and Rescue team (SAR) while his 17 year-old sister, Lee Huai Fen is still missing.

They were reported missing earlier yesterday during an outing with 14 other people at the area.

A team of firemen from the Petra Jaya Fire station rushed to the scene to search for them in response to an emergency call at 3.01 pm and subsequently dived at the scene.

They used flotation devices (PFD) and safety ropes during the dives to locate the two victim at the location where they were reported disappeared.
