LIMBANG: A team of firemen from Limbang fire station and other relevant agencies sprang into action following reports of fallen trees and landslides in Jalan Buangsiol, Kampung Bukit Kota.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue department operations centre, they received a distress call on the incident at 9.04am and a team led by Mohd Ismail Assan was despatched to scene to remove the fallen trees which were obstructing the road following the landslide.
Prior to the incident, there was heavy rainfall in the area.
The firemen were assisted by personnel from the police force, Sarawak Energy Berhad, Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) and Public Works Department.
The clearing operation ended at 1.40pm. There were no casualties in the incident.
