KUCHING: The Sarawak Pickleball Association and Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak) is organising a book donation campaign this coming May 3 – 5 in Senadin Miri.

The campaign is in conjunction with the upcoming Sarawak Invitational Interteam Pickleball Challenge 2024 and it is a part of the ‘Books Build Legacy’ corporate social responsibility initiative, aimed at promoting literacy and education among schoolchildren and encouraging them to foster a love of reading.

The press statement stated that all book donations will be gifted to rural schools throughout Sarawak. Storybooks and reference books should be new or secondhand, in good condition, and suitable for young and teen readers.

“Participants of the Sarawak Invitational Interteam Pickleball Challenge 2024 are encouraged to donate at least two books per person, while corporate organisation and members of the public are also invited to donate as many books as desired,” BESarawak said in its press release.
