KUCHING: More than 150 Harley-Davidson motorbike owners are expected to take part in the Borneo International Harley Owners Group (HOG) Rally Malaysia 2017.

Organised by the HOG Kuala Lumpur Chapter Malaysia, it will be held from this coming 30 September to 9 October covering routes in Sarawak, Sabah, Labuan, and Brunei.

Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports Snowdan Lawan launched the event representing Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Haji Johari Tun Abang Haji Openg and read his speech text. A press conference was also held at the Culture Club here on Wednesday.

“The journey will start from Kota Kinabalu in Sabah and will end here in Kuching whereby they will travel a total distance of approximately 1,450km.

“Throughout the journey, they will be passing through beautiful landscapes, tasting different food, and enjoying the local culture,” Johari said.

He added that motorcycle tourism is one of the fastest growing segments in state tourism and that with the upcoming PAN Borneo Highway it will further increase its growth.
