KOTA SAMARAHAN: A 13-year-old teenage boy died in a three-vehicle collision last Saturday (Dec 26).

The accident involving two cars and a motorcycle occurred around 10pm at KM5, Jalan Datuk Mohd Musa (Summer Mall roundabout).

Sarawak Traffic Police chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the boy who rode the motorcycle, had been identified as Muhammad Zaim Rahimi Zamri from Kampung Sebandi Ulu in Asajaya.

“The accident happened when an Alza car coming from Summer Mall entered the middle lane of the roundabout to travel towards Kuching.

“When it moved to exit the roundabout into the road leading to Kuching, a Kancil car coming from Summer Mall on the outer left lane of the roundabout turned right to head for Asajaya.

“As a result, the Kancil car collided with the motorcycle which was between the cars,” he said.

Alexson added that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics and the body was taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
