BINTULU: A three-year-old boy was traumatised when he got trapped inside a car.
It was said that he could not get out of the car after an accident that occurred at RPR Tanjung Kidurong, Jalan Tanjung Kidurong yesterday (Nov 16).
The State Fire and Rescue Department’s operations centre received a distress call on the incident at 7.31pm and immediately despatched firefighters from Bintulu fire station to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found out that the incident happened when the boy’s mother was reversing the car and crashed into the wall of a residential house.
After crashing, the car automatically got locked and trapped the victim in the back seat. However, the victim’s mother managed to get out before getting locked.
Firefighters successfully got the conscious boy out from the car using special equipment and handed the victim over to his family.
The unharmed boy was later brought by his father to the hospital for a check-up and any needed treatment.
