KUCHING: The Kampung Tambay indoor futsal championship in Asajaya was won by a team named after five-time World Cup winners Brazil.
Brazil FC recorded a 3-2 win over Siak United on penalties after the game was tied 1-1 at the final whistle on Monday (July 11).
Third place went to Prawn Angler. All three teams took home cash prizes and hampers.
The prize-giving ceremony was officiated by Kampung Tambay PBB chairman Drahman Hamid. Also in attendance were Kampung Tambay PBB Youth chief Ismadi Bujang and Kampung Tambay Rukun Tetangga chairman Aris Ayub.
Ten teams competed in the two-day tournament organised by Kampung Tambay PBB Youth.
