MUKAH: A talk on Sarawak Covid-19 vaccination programme was organised by Mukah district office at Menara Pehin Setia Raja here recently and attended by local community leaders.
The district office also organised similar briefings at longhouses for tuai rumah (longhouse chiefs) who were unable to attend.
The areas covered included Bayan Ulu, Bayan Tasik, Bukit Ambun, Badengan and Mateding.
The briefing was aimed at obtaining relevant information from the people before the government, through the Ministry of Health implement Covid-10 vaccination programme.
The Sarawak government obtained the information through Resident office, which collaborated with district office.
It is learned that based on 2019 projection, Mukah district office administered 193 longhouses, 47 villages and 24 housing estates.
Meanwhile, it was reported today (Feb 20) that Sarawak aims to carry out the first phase of the vaccination programme from the end of this month until April for 97,000 frontliners.
