PUTRAJAYA: The deadline for feedback and suggestions for the national education policy review has been extended from Feb 28 to March, said chairman of the National Education Policy Review Committee (JKD) Emeritus Professor Datuk Dr Ibrahim Ahmad Bajunid.

He said since the committee was formed on Oct 18, it had held a series of meetings with about 2,500 stakeholders to get their feedback.

Ibrahim added that the committee had received more than 2,000 views, with many “impressive” ones.

“We believe a report of the review which will be submitted to the Education Ministry on April 30 will bring changes to the national education policy,” he said in a press conference held here yesterday.

Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik had previously announced the formation of the committee which would be an independent body to review the national education policy, Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025 (pre-school to secondary school), and the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2015-2025 (higher education).
