Brunei to extend suspension of cross-border activities

LIMBANG: Brunei Darussalam will extend the temporary suspension of cross-border activities after April 15.

It’s Prime Minister’s Department (PMO) said the extension would last for 15 days from April 16 to 30.

“Admission of foreign nationals through land and sea control posts includes transit travel across Brunei Darussalam.

“Entry and transit travel through Brunei Darussalam can only be considered for vehicles that have a Crossing Permit and Transit Permit Statement issued by the Brunei government with the guarantee or support of the relevant national authorities.

“The admission must be subject to the existing entry conditions and procedures for the purpose of official government affairs, schooling, emergency services (such as ambulances, police and army) and vaccinated transport operators registered abroad with a Crossing Permit extended by the government of Brunei for the delivery of essential import supplies,” the PMO said in a statement on Wednesday (April 13) that.

The temporary suspension of permission for cross-border activities also applies to entry and exit country travels of commuters via land and sea ports for the purpose of work.

Conditions for the consideration of entry and exit travel are subject to review by the steering committee for COVID-19 from time to time.
