Bubur lambuk for civil servants

KUCHING: The women’s representative of the Malaysian Government Servants Welfare and Sports Council (Maksak) Sarawak distributed bubur lambuk to all civil servants working at Wisma Bapa Malaysia (WBM), Petra Jaya today.

The distribution programme took place at WBM’s lobby and was attended by the Chief Minister’s wife, Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang.

During the programme, seven recipients representing 175 staff members at WBM received the bubur lambuk.

The distribution of the bubur lambuk is an annual programme during Ramadan to celebrate civil servants for their efforts and hard work in carrying out their tasks towards the development of Sarawak.

Also present were Maksak Sarawak Women chairperson Datin Amar Evelyn Ritikos Jaul, deputy chairperson Datin Sri Badayuh Bujang and all women exco members.

Meanwhile, in another event, Maksak Sarawak also presented welfare contributions to B40 civil servants working at WBM in conjunction with the coming Hari Raya celebration.

A total of 91 recipients received Duit Raya (RM100), face masks, and woven sarongs which was presented by state secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion, who is also Maksak Sarawak president.

In view of the Covid-19 situation, the donation ceremony was held on a small scale and in accordance with the set standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Also present were Deputy State Secretaries Datuk Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and Datuk Dr Sabariah Putit and other heads of departments.
