MIRI: Two friends were arrested early Monday (June 21) in Batu Niah near here for allegedly stealing 11 oil palm fresh fruit bunches (FFB).
“The suspects were spotted harvesting the FFBs from an oil palm orchard belonging to a villager from Kampung Lajong Kuala Niah,” said Miri OCPD ACP Hakemal Hawari.
He added that the duo, aged 39 and 20, were currently being detained at the Miri Central Police Station for questioning.
The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft.
