SERIAN: A Bung Mako climbathon will be held at the Ranchan Recreation Park near here on Aug 31.
The event is organised by St Paul’s Catholic Church Bung Mako with St Theresa Church and Kampung Seroban village security and development committee.
The climbathon, to be flagged off at 6am, aims to raise funds to complete St Paul’s Church, to promote Bung Mako as a new Christian pilgrimage centre, and to celebrate St Paul’s Church fourth.
Registration is until July 31 and forms are available from the St Theresa Church office.
The climbathon is divided into four categories — 7km for men and women, open to those aged 18 years and above; youth (below 17); veteran (40 and above) and 3km fun hike (open).
A fee of RM60 per person is charged for the open and veteran categories.
