KUCHING: With assistance and cooperation from the federal government, the state government can ensure that the business community in Sarawak is taken care of.
This was stressed by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan when he attended the ‘Mesyuarat Pembangunan Usahawan dan PKS Kebangsaan (MPUPK) Bil. 1/2021’ last Friday.
The Minister of International Trade and Industry, Industrial Terminal and Entrepreneur Development (Mintred) also voiced out opinions and suggestions for coordinating programmes at the state level.
The MPUPK is a high committee which serves as a platform for formulation of policy and coordination of entrepreneurship development programmes as well as projects on the national level.
The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and also attended by federal ministers, representative minister from Sabah, chief secretary to the government of Malaysia and governor of Bank Negara.
Also present during the meeting were Entrepreneur and SME Development Assistant Minister Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais as well as International Trade and Industry, Industrial Terminal and Entrepreneur Development Assistant Minister Datuk Malcolm Mussen Lamoh.
