Busy day for Premier in Singapore

SINGAPORE: Premier Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg today met with four ministries and companies here to explore areas of cooperation in the sharing of resources towards the energy transition, climate change action and carbon trading.

The meetings took place on the sideline of the Premier’s itinerary at the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) held at the Marina Bay Sands, here yesterday.

The first meeting was with Total Energies followed by a bilateral meeting with Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry Second Minister Tan See Leng, and afterward another bilateral meeting with the Minister of Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu.

Later, the Premier and his delegation held talks with SembCorp Industries Ltd. followed by a meeting with Keppel Corporation Limited to discuss collaboration on carbon trading.

Earlier, Abang Johari was invited by Singapore authority to deliver a keynote address at the SIEW, an annual platform for energy professionals, policymakers, and commentators to share best practices and solutions within the global energy space.
