SARIKEI: Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii handed over donations to longhouse residents of Rumah Rampai, who are under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO), last Saturday.

Tiong donated food supplies such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, instant noodles to the 23-door longhouse with 139 residents.

The longhouse has been under EMCO since April 30 and is scheduled to end by May 13.

After that, the assemblyman visited the construction site of the new Yien Sung Methodist Church.

The church is listed under this year’s Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) which Tiong allocated RM200,000 for.

He also visited the vaccination centre at Sarikei Civic Centre for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, which has entered the second phase of the programme for Sarikei.

Tiong was also present to witness the distribution of bubur lambuk to frontline personnel as well as to the public at the vaccination centre.

The bubur lambuk was prepared by the Sarikei Information Department and the Sarikei Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba).
