KAPIT: The Walikota of Kapit District Council (KDC), Lating Minggang, KDC secretary, Jabang Juntan and the KDC team were busy for the past one week, meeting the contractors and the project management teams on the various major development projects of the council that are in the various stages of construction.
After the meetings, the Walikota and his team visited the sites to see for themselves the progress of the projects.
Among the major projects in progress are the Kapit Waterfront, the town square, multi-storey car park and the beautification of the Lily Pond.
Lating urged the car park contractor to complete the project within stipulated period so that the traffic congestion in Kapit could be minimised.
He also stressed the importance of safety in the workplace and pointed out that safety was everybody’s business.
