Cable theft suspect nabbed

MIRI: Police have detained a man believed to be involved in underground cable theft.

The suspect, aged 39, was detained by a police team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Miri Task Force at a house in Tudan Phase 6.

On June 24, underground electrical cables estimated to be worth around RM5,000 were reported stolen at a construction site  in Lorong Harmoni 3, Tudan.

The suspect has been brought to Miri Central Police station to assist police investigation into the case.
