KUCHING: In conjunction with the Father’s Day celebration on Sunday (June 21), Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng took time to visit busy fathers working at the council’s markets.

Wee and his councillors visited the three markets, namely Stutong Market, Kenyalang Market and Petanak Market to spend some time with the hawkers and traders there.

“This is to show that the council cares and respects all fathers,” he told New Sarawak Tribune on Sunday (June 21).

He said some cakes and ’Longevity Buns’ were also distributed to the hawkers, traders and patrons at the markets.

“We hope this brings joy to these fathers on this special day,” said Wee.

He also visited markets to check public compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
