MUKAH: It is high time for the local post office to extend its car-parking area to cater to the increase in customers of late.
Located at Jalan Haji Mohd Pauzi in front of Mukah District Police Headquarters, the Mukah Post Office at present has only a few parking lots.
In the past few years, there was an effort towards that end, but Post Malaysia seemed to be focusing more on its building rather than its compound.
“In fact, Mukah Post Office still has ample area for extension.
They should convert the space available into car parking lots,” said a customer who requested anonymity.
Following the increase in number of customers following the development in this district, the customer in his 50s added that locals still prefer to go to the post office although some of the services offered are also available elsewhere like in banks.
Besides providing more parking lots, the post office should also look into expanding its entrance gate because at present only one vehicle at a time can pass which is causing inconvenience especially during peak hours.
The post office should grow in tandem with development not only in terms of services or products provided but also in the physical aspects like parking lots and others.
