KUCHING: The Blood Bank of Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) is appealing to all to come forward and donate blood to ensure continuous and sufficient blood supply for patients.
The blood donation campaign will be held from Wednesday (Oct 28) till this Sunday (Nov 1).
Head of Transfusion and Blood Bank Services Department (SGH), Dr Mohammad Masrin Md Zahrin, said those who wish to donate blood, who have just completed their quarantine period, coming from outside Sarawak, are advised to wait until the 28th day before donating blood.
“The Blood Bank Mobile Unit will be available at Wisma Hasil’s hall, level 4 from 9am to 2pm on Wednesday (Oct 28).
“It will be closed on Thursday (Oct 29) due to a public holiday (Maulidur Rasul),” he said in a statement issued on Monday (Oct 26).
This Saturday (Oct 31), the campaign will take place at CityOne Megamall 2, ground level and Aeon Mall’s South Court, ground level from 10am until 3pm.
“For the last day of the campaign, it will be held at Plaza Merdeka, level 1 from 9am to 2pm on Sunday (Nov 1),” Dr Mohammad Masrin added.
