KUCHING: A car driver suffered from serious injuries after he rammed into a lorry ferrying stones at Jalan Stephen Yong yesterday.
He was turning from Batu Kitang to Jalan Stephen Yong when he collided into
the lorry ferrying stones.at about 4pm.
After the collision, the lorry landed on the side causing the stones to spill and landed on the front of the saloon car and onto the road.
Another on coming lorry from the opposite direction of the first lorry could not
brake on time and crashed into the lorry causing more stones to spill
onto the car.
Police and Fire and Rescue Services Department, upon being alerted, rushed to the scene.
Firemen helped the driver of the saloon car out and an ambulance rushed him to the Sarawak General Hospital.
The victim sustained serious head injuries and is in red zone.
