KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian has advised the party members to continue the struggle of their past leaders who fought for Sarawak and represented all races.
He gave the advice while officiating at the 60th anniversary celebrations of the SUPP Kuching branch at its premises on Saturday.
Dr Sim also urged members to be united in pursuing the struggle to protect the state’s rights.
He said the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government would protect the state from being deceived by the ruling Pakatan Harapan (PH) government. SUPP is one of the component parties of GPS.
“The PH government has failed to deliver its promises.
“If Sarawakians aren’t united, no one will fight for the state and we might lose it. As Sarawakians, we should not betray the state,” added Dr Sim who is also Housing and Local Government Minister.
Also present were SUPP secretary-general Datuk Sebastian Ting, SUPP Kuching branch chairman Datuk Lily Yong, organising chairman Bong Lian Huan, Dr Sim’s wife Datin Enn Ong and community leaders.
