SARIKEI: Six people sustained injuries after they were involved in a two-vehicle collision in Jalan Bayong-Jakar on Friday (Jan 22).
The Fire and Rescue Department operations centre said an emergency call was received around 7.50am regarding the accident, and firefighters from the Sarikei station were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found both cars ― one with four passengers and the other with two passengers ― overturned by the roadside.
The victims were attended to by members of the public and brought to the hospital prior to the arrival of the firefighters.
The batteries in both vehicles were disconnected to prevent any sort of mishap.
Operations ended around 8.40am. Police are investigating the cause.
