LUBOK ANTU: The installation of a cash recycling machine (CRM) in Lubok Antu town is recommended for the benefit of visitors and nearby residents.

Lubok Antu Member of Parliament (MP) Roy Angau Gingkoi said the idea was in response to the issue with the area’s current automatic teller machines (ATMs) which are allegedly frequently damaged and drained of cash.

He asserted that CRM incorporates the features of both ATM and cash deposit machine (CDM), enabling users to do a variety of operations, including checking balances, withdrawing and depositing money, paying bills, financing payments and transferring money.

Roy is optimistic that locals can withdraw money from the CRM system without encountering any issues, the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) said in a news report.

Roy was in Lubok Antu town yesterday (Feb 5) to review  the CIMB Bank’s mobile counter service process.

The service is made available to anybody interested in setting up a CIMB Bank account with as little as RM20.
