MIRI: The border control at Sungai Tujuh Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Complex will be further improved through the installation of closed-circuit televisions (CCTs).

Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri said the proposal (of the CCTs installation) will be put forward to the Ministry Of Home Affairs for consideration.

“It helps to boost up the security control along the area Sungai Tujuh checkpoint Miri-Brunei border in the future,” he told a group of local media in Miri today.

Azman was accompanied by State Deputy Police Commissioner Datuk Mancha Ata and Miri district police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu.

Earlier on, Azman and his entourage attended a briefing session with the Immigration Department on the Sungai Tujuh ICQS checkpoint operation.

On his visit yesterday to the Sungai Tujoh ICQS, Azman was satisfied with the facilities and is keen to collaborate with the Immigration Department Miri to enhance the border security.
