SAMARAHAN: The Information Department (JaPen) yesterday organised the ‘Sembang Warung’ programme in conjunction with National Artists Day 2022 celebration here.

The programme was a collaboration with government agencies including the Malaysian Television Malaysia (RTM), the Malaysian National Film Development Corporation (FINAS), the Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA), the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Telekom Malaysia (TM) and Pos Malaysia.

Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (K-KOMM) minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the programme was a strategic approach of JaPen to establish relationships with the grassroots community, especially among those  involved in various local and national art genres.

“In line with JaPen’s mission of marketing government information through various strategic communication methods, this programme is used as a platform by JaPen to channel information or policies.

“In addition, this programme seeks to strengthen friendships among activists of various art genres including appreciating their contributions and services in promoting artistic and cultural activities.
