DALAT: St James’ Chapel of Kampung Kekan here will hold a Fun Run on Feb 16 in conjunction with the chapel’s 40th anniversary celebration.
According to a spokesman for the organiser, Augustine Druis, a two-category sporting event will be held to celebrate the chapel’s establishment which is located on the riverbank of Batang Oya.
“St. James’ Fun Run 2019 is divided in two categories, namely three kilometres (3KM) and five kilometres (5KM). The run will begin at the Dalat Bazaar Waterfront. It is staged in conjunction with Santo Fest or the 40th anniversary celebration of the chapel which was built in 1978,” he said.
He added that the registration fee is at RM50 for each participant that includes a T-shirt, a bib, and a finisher’s medal.
“There are also lucky draws with 40 hampers to be won in line with the chapel’s 40th anniversary,” said Augustine, adding that the closing date for registration is Jan 1.
