KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak chief Larry Sng has revealed that Batu Lintang assemblyman See Chee How’s party membership has been terminated.

Besides Chee How, who is also the PKR stamping branch chief, is the former Sarawak PKR secretary Vernon Kedit who has been sacked earlier.

On April 7, twelve PKR branch leaders in the state have their names recommended to the party’s central disciplinary board for their immediate sacking.

Among them were Chee How, Vernon (Betong), Boniface Willy Tumek (Mas Gading), Baharuddin Dato Mokhsen (Petra Jaya), Siah Sy Jen (Bandar Kuching), Jemree Sabli (Kota Samarahan), Cyril Langin (Serian), Yen Jebeni (Sri Aman), Nicholas Bawin Anggat (Lubok Antu), Hung Soon Kieng (Lanang), Abdul Raafidin Majidi (Sibu) and Kelvin @ Kilo Lutan (Bintulu).

PKR Sarawak leadership council secretary Joshua Jabeng said he had received information that led him to believe that these branch leaders were working in collaboration with other parties to undermine the leadership of PKR.

“In light of this, we are taking preemptive measures to report them and their supporters to the disciplinary board of PKR to recommend for their immediate sacking.

“Their exit from the party will strengthen the party which has been dogged by infighting since 2018,” he said.

It was reported that Boniface, on April 13 had questioned the legality of the PKR’s State Leadership Council decision to recommend the names to be sacked from the party.

Sng in response to that said it is a standard party process for complaints by individuals to be lodged with the party’s ‘biro disiplin’ (discipline bereau).

“The rest is up to them to decide on the matter,” he told New Sarawak Tribune yesterday.
