BAU: A chicken breeder was arrested for possessing drugs in a house at Kampung Stass on Friday.

Bau OCPD DSP Poge Nyaon said that it led to the discovery of a plastic packet containing crystalline lumps believed to be methamphetamine on the floor of a bedroom.

“The suspect and the drugs, weighing around 0.30g, were later taken to Bau narcotics office.

“A background check found that the 20-year-old man had a past record. He also tested positive for drugs,” he said.

During questioning, the suspect admitted to using drugs recreationally as he was influenced by friends six years ago.

Poge added that the suspect will be remanded to facilitate investigations under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
