KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg today received a courtesy call from the Chief of Defence Force, General Tan Seri Affendi Buang at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here.

Affendi, a Sarawakian, started his duties as the 21st Chief of Defence
Force in January this year.

The purpose of the courtesy call was to brief the chief minister on the security situation in the state, particularly along the Sarawak-Kalimantan border.

The delegation was joined by Army Eastern Field Command commander, Lt-Gen Datuk Zakaria Yadi who started his duties last July and First Infantry commander, Maj-Gen Datuk Dzulkafli Mustaffa.
