KUCHING: Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCSS) is organising a send-off party for children and caregivers who will finally get to go back home to their families after completing months of intensive treatment.

Describing it as one of the happiest moments for the society, it said there is so much to celebrate and rejoice as this signifies a breakthrough and a fresh beginning for the children with new goals and dreams to achieve.

“Families residing at the halfway home and SCCS team will come together for a mini farewell party to send them off with well wishes,” it said in a social media post on Tuesday (Aug 16).

“It is a cheerful event because it is a start of a new chapter in life,” it added.

Meanwhile children and families residing at the SCSS halfway home were treated to a box of ice cream by Home Smart Grocery recently.

“The children were beaming from ear to ear as they devoured the sweet treats, the look on their faces said it all,” it said.
