JIANGSU: China’s third biggest television network-Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation (JSBC) based in Nanjing city, Jiangsu Province welcome tourism players from Sarawak for collaborative efforts particularly in promoting the state’s tourism products to JSBC’s audience through its various media platform.

JSBC deputy director International Department and International Channel Li Hanchun said Sarawak has great tourism potential which he sees can be further promoted to audience in China through its travel channel.

“I knew about Kuching when I attended the Asian Television Awards 2019 held in the city earlier this year. Kuching indeed is a very beautiful city.

“I see Kuching has its own beauty and attractions, especially its snorkelling activities. As such in the near future, we can have a mutual understanding between JSBC and the tourism sector in Sarawak on how we can include Kuching or other attractions in the state in one of the segments in our television programme,” he said.

At the same time, Li said, the local media in the state could also play their respective roles to promote Nanjing or other cities in Jiangsu province.

“JSBC has an international department and through this department, we can work on what contents you want us to focus on.

“I believe this will be a good collaboration which will be able to bring benefits to both parties,” he stressed.

He added that media as a tool of disseminating information, also plays an important role to promote the attractions of a country.

“Thus, interested local media from Sarawak can also come to look for me to discuss what we can work on in terms on tourism,” he said.

He mentioned that JSBC is always open to sharing their knowledge on how the corporation manages and expand its multi-media platform.
