KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from a delegation from Sin Chew Daily on Wednesday at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Petra Jaya here.

The delegation was led by Sin Chew Daily East Malaysia general manager Chung Hon Shin.

Also present were senior marketing manager Charles Lee, deputy executive editor (East Malaysia) Josephine Ho Lee Ping, senior chief reporter Leslie Chin, and senior reporter Chan Sze Chiah.

The purpose of the courtesy call was to express their gratitude to the chief minister for accepting their invitation to be the guest of honour at the Sarawak Time Honoured Brand Appreciation Night cum official launch of a book entitled “Sarawak Time Honoured Brand, An Everlasting Glory” collection series that will be held on October 18 at a leading local hotel here.

The collection series commemorates and accords recognition to all the established and honoured brands in Sarawak that had built remarkable values and contributed to society.

A total of 81 Sarawakian companies will receive their honour and recognition during the event.
