Chinese Muslim converts meet Fatimah

KUCHING: Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah received a courtesy call from the Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association Sarawak (Macma) today.

According to the press release by the ministry, the visit which took place at the minister’s house was to discuss matters related to Macma’s activities.

“Its objective is to make sure that after the process of conversion, a person who just converted to Islam can assimilate, integrate and follow the teachings of Islam,” the statement read.

The delegation comprising nine members representing the Chinese Muslims community in Sarawak was led by its chairman Tony Ong Abdullah.

Established in 1996, Macma Sarawak now has over 600 members.
