KUCHING: If you love chocolates, you will like the cakes and biscuits that Norsurianie Suwel, 31, makes for sale.
Among the cakes and biscuits, she produces are rainbow cat tongue biscuits, kuih sepit berinti, chocolate brownies, chocojar, Nutella pods, chocolate biscuits, cheesecakes and Cadbury tarts.
“Usually, I use three types of chocolate, namely, dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate to make my cakes or biscuits,” she said.
Norsurianie added that she only used premium and quality ingredients in her products.
Many customers, she said, were interested in her handmade chocolate biscuits.
“Initially, I sold chocolate marshmallows on a whim in 2014. I was a full-time housewife then.
“I operated at home before applying for a business site in Stutong in 2019. A few years later, I applied for a larger business site. Then I moved to City Square,” she added.
Norsurianie has come a long way since she started her business with only RM200 in hand.
“Now, I also promote my cakes and biscuits on social media platforms. My prices are affordable, ranging from RM15 to RM200 depending on the type of products ordered by the customers,” added Norsurianie.
She said she could earn about RM1000 to RM3000 a month, especially during the festive season.
“I also provide delivery services for customers in the Kuching and Kota Samarahan areas.
“The delivery charges depend on the distances,” she said, adding that her business hours were from 10am to 8pm every day.
“I hope to be a successful entrepreneur one day and that my products will be well known in and outside Malaysia,” she said.
