KUCHING: The Kuching Division Journalists Association (KDJA) held a Christmas gathering with former Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam and wife Datuk Wira Lorna Chan.
The event held at Dr Chan’s residence in Petra Jaya here last night (Dec 18) was attended by around 40 local and national media practitioners.
“The purpose of the event is to celebrate Christmas with members of the media.
“Despite having a small celebration, may we celebrate the festive season with happiness,” said Dr Chan when speaking at the event.
Meanwhile, KJDA president Ronnie Teo also expressed his appreciation and thanks to Dr Chan for hosting the Christmas party at his residence.
“I would like to thank Dr Chan and his wife for their generosity for welcoming us into their lovely home and thank them for thinking of the media throughout this period.
“After a hectic and busy period, tonight is a night for us to enjoy and rest from work,” he added.
The event started as early as 7pm and was filled with fun activities participated by the members of the media fraternity.
